Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Payroll Research (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit payrollresearch.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at contact@payrollresearch.com.

Information we collect

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and security tools automatically receive technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to operate the Site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems. Our security software uses this information to block malicious traffic and protect against attacks.

Information you give us

If you email us or submit a form on the Site, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address and message. We use it only to respond to you and to handle your request.

The quiz and calculator

The Payroll Match Quiz and the cost calculator run entirely in your web browser. Your answers, employee count and settings are not sent to us or stored by us.

Cookies

The Site itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not currently use analytics services. WordPress, the software that runs the Site, sets cookies only for site administrators who log in. If we add analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy.

When you click an affiliate link (for example a “Check Price” button), you are redirected to the provider or to an affiliate network. That provider or network may set its own cookies to record that you came from our Site so we can be credited for a referral. Those cookies are governed by their privacy policies, not this one. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more about affiliate links.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Site:

  • Hosting and security: our web host and security, caching and image-optimization tools process technical information (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the Site.
  • Google Fonts: our typefaces load from Google’s servers, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when pages load. See Google’s privacy policy for how it handles this data.
  • Affiliate networks and payroll providers: when you follow an affiliate link, you leave our Site and their privacy policies apply.

How we use information

  • To operate, maintain and improve the Site
  • To protect the Site against fraud, spam and security threats
  • To respond to messages and requests you send us
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with the service providers described above, when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

How long we keep information

We keep security and server logs only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. We keep emails and form submissions as long as needed to respond and for our ordinary business records, then delete them.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither). Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws, and visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, can exercise these rights by emailing contact@payrollresearch.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because we do not track visitors across websites or sell personal information, there is nothing additional to switch off when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Children

The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures, including security monitoring and encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect the Site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
